Technologisk Institute: (Norway)

For almost a century, Teknologisk Institutt (established 1917) has continuously extended and deepened the scope and quality of its services to Norwegian industry.

We offer technological expertise in a diverse range of industrial fields. Our strength lies in the ability to work across disciplines, identifying and exploiting synergies and potential for the benefit of our many customers. Our headquarters is located in Oslo, with branches in Kongsberg, Stavanger, Bergen and Haugesund. Our Nordic subsidiaries specialize in calibration and chemical handling and are located in Sweden (Gothenburg) and Denmark (Copenhagen).

The RTD work for the Aqua-Pulse project will be carried out by the Aquaculture Group in TI.

Water quality legislations and demands are very strict both for drinking water, and water used in food production. The regulations applied to waste water discharge are also becoming increasingly stringent. Due to pollution and climate change, the water quality of our fresh water sources is diminishing noticeably, leading to increased demands in relation to water and waste water treatment. TI participates in both consulting and the development of water treatment solutions.

Our aquaculture team includes specialists with practical experience from land- and sea-based fish farming, processing technology, water treatment technology, technology development and comprehensive knowledge of the seafood value chain. Our key competencies are listed below.
